The American Council of Engineering Companies is the business voice of America’s engineering industry. We represent nearly 6,000 firms employing more than 600,000 engineers, architects, land surveyors, highly trained specialists, and licensed professionals who design and improve our world.

Association of Levee Boards of Louisiana

With roots in the past and eyes on the future, the Association of Levee Boards of Louisiana is charged with containing and managing the floodwaters along the major waterways of Louisiana. Flooding is a fact of life in Louisiana. But thanks to constant diligence and monitoring by the state’s 23 individual levee boards, rains very rarely have the disastrous results they once had for our citizens.

More than half of our precious land is in a flood plain, and 41 percent of the continental U.S. drains into the Mississippi River Basin. This creates a unique situation in our state, where flooding is a part of the history we share, and a part of the future we are working hard to control.

Bayou Industrial Group

Bayou Industrial Group (BIG) is a non-partisan organization committed to the growth and sustainability of business and industry in the Bayou Region of South Louisiana.  Currently, BIG membership includes over 125 companies and individuals from primarily Lafourche, Terrebonne, St. Mary, and Assumption Parishes representing the oil and gas industry, manufacturing, agriculture, professional services, retail, higher education, and government.

Louisiana Airport Managers and Associates

The Louisiana Airport Managers and Associates was formed to provide a forum for the exchange of aviation management ideas. Ideas that help to provide better aviation services to the state of Louisiana. In addition, LAMA provides a strong, credible influence on the lawmakers of the state to insure that legislation concerning aviation and airports is decided upon fairly and consistently. LAMA fosters the development of educational programs and scholarships, to promote aviation and airport interests.

Louisiana Brownfields Association

The Louisiana Brownfields Association, through community outreach and education, promotes a wide array of Brownfields-related goals, objectives and initiatives, including environmental restoration, economic development and revitalization, natural resources preservation, enhancement of financial and regulatory incentives, and protection of human health.

Louisiana Chemical Industry Alliance

Founded in 1990, the Louisiana Chemical Industry Alliance (LCIA) is a partnership between plants and suppliers, representing more than 850 members with thousands of employees from Louisiana’s petrochemical industry and related businesses. The LCIA board of directors is governed by 12 top supplier/contractor executives and 11 chemical plant managers.

Louisiana Emergency Preparedness Association

The Louisiana Emergency Preparedness Association (LEPA) is a non-profit statewide organization of emergency preparedness and response practitioners with the common goal of improving public safety in emergencies. LEPA was formed in 1980 by a group of local civil defense directors who recognized the need to expand and incorporate personnel in emergency service organizations into a cohesive and productive association.

Louisiana Engineering Society

With over a century of service, LES is the only active engineering organization in the State of Louisiana that serves all disciplines and every area of practice. LES can provide the networking helpful to any career and access to the advice of key professional leaders. LES also provides plenty of opportunities to obtain Professional Development Hours throughout the year and hosts two conferences annually. LES is YOUR VOICE on the regulation of the practice of engineering and surveying in Louisiana through its liaison with the LA Professional Engineering and Land Surveying Board (LAPELS). 

Louisiana Floodplain Management Association

The Louisiana Floodplain Management Association (LFMA) is the Louisiana chapter of the national Association of State Floodplain Managers (ASFPM).  LFMA serves as a forum for parish and municipal employees, state and federal officials, and the private sector to meet and share experiences, ideas, and solutions to common flooding problems. As a grassroots effort, we assist and support each other when confronted by flooding. Essentially, we have become an extended family who enjoy and look forward to seeing each other on a regular basis. As such, we are more than another professional organization.

LOGA represents the independent and service sectors of the oil and gas industry in Louisiana.

Louisiana Parish Engineers and Supervisors Association

The Louisiana Parish Engineers and Supervisors Association (LPESA) was founded in 1972 to foster and maintain a high professional spirit among Louisiana parish's public works and engineering employees. It provides instructive, entertaining, and important programs to those primarily concerned with the planning, operation, and maintenance of parish infrastructure. The LPESA is an organization through which programs may be coordinated among parishes and other government agencies. The organization's goal is to include an active member in every parish in Louisiana.

Ports Association of Louisiana

The Ports Association of Louisiana (PAL) is a non-profit trade association that represents voluntary member ports and affiliated organizations in order to encourage economic development within the State of Louisiana.

South Central Industrial Association

SCIA represents more than 250 companies with over 200,000 employees, many of whom are engaged in servicing the oil, gas and marine industries.

Westbank Business & Industry Association

WBIA is the premier business organization for the West Bank of New Orleans. Actively involved in the community since 1946, the membership is comprised of business and industry born of the Harvey Canal Corridor. WBIA is dedicated to a collaborative effort of the business community to support, improve and protect the interests of its membership.
